The primary responsibility of the Police Department is to ensure the safety and well being of all people in the Village. The Department enforces all laws in a professional manner and the well-trained staff responds to the emergency and daily needs of the community. An active partnership with the citizens and business community is a critical component of the overall success of the Department.

Drone Policy
It is the policy of the Huntley Police Department to ensure authorized personnel are trained on the use of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) to enhance the department’s mission of protecting lives and property when other means and resources are not available or are less effective. Any use of a UAS will be in strict compliance to relevant statutes, the Illinois Drones as First Responders Act (PA 103-0101), the Illinois Freedom from Drone Surveillance Act (725 ILCS 167/), privacy rights, and the Federal Aviation Administration and 14 CFR 107 requirements.

Citizens can now use our online portal to submit vacation house watch and overnight parking requests as well as citizen reporting of certain types of non-emergency incidents that are not currently in progress. Using FRONTLINE Public Safety Solutions, citizens can safely and securely submit this information online which will then be directed to the Huntley Police Department.
