Route 47 Update: August 30- Sept 4
Information is provided by IDOT and is subject to change.

Reed Road, west of Route 47, will be down to a single lane on September 2nd and 3rd. Expect delays.

Beginning the week of August 30th, underground work is scheduled to begin at the intersection of Main Street and Route 47. This work is to be performed within the paved street. Temporary pavement that has been recently placed at the intersection will provide a detour for vehicles through the work zone; however, keep in mind that delivery of material and staging will be changing throughout the day. This work will cause substantial traffic delays and alternate routes should be considered if your travels are time sensitive.

Watch for lane changes on Main Street beginning for Monday, August 30th. Lane changes essentially will be from Church Street to just east of Janice Drive.  In addition, some Main Street parking will be eliminated between Route 47 and Church Street. Public Parking lots will remain open on Main Street at the railroad tracks and the lot next to Old Village Hall on Coral Street.

The Village receives updates from IDOT on a regular basis so please check the Route 47 Widening Project web page often for complete information and updates:
