Route 47 Streetlight and Traffic Signal Painting

Starting the week of June 10th, a Village-hired contractor will be repainting the streetlight poles and bases on Route 47, from Kenneth Avenue to the south end of Deicke Park, and also the traffic signal poles and bases at Route 47 and Main Street and Route 47 and Kreutzer Road. Please click here to view a map of these areas.

Purpose & Precautions
The purpose of this project is to protect and extend the overall life of these streetlight and traffic signal poles and to improve the aesthetics along Route 47. Motorists and pedestrians should expect minor delays near work zones due to temporary interior roadway lane closures and sidewalk closures along Route 47. Although the paint primer that will used by the contractor is grayish/white, the streetlights and traffic signals will be black in color after this project is complete, as the final coat of paint is black.

Project Duration
The project is expected to take up to two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
