The Sidewalk Saw Cutting program is part of an ongoing effort by the Village of Huntley to provide a safe Pedestrian Access Route (PAR) while also saving money. In 2021, the Village is targeting Covington Lakes and Sun City NH 11 for the Street Improvement Program. The Village will inspect approximately 16 miles of sidewalk and repair qualifying areas. Sun City NH 14 & 17 are included in the 16 miles of sidewalk inspection and budget exists for additional service request areas. Finally, the Village is dedicated to maintaining a safe Pedestrian Access Route and residents are encouraged to call the Public Works Department if a sidewalk displacement is present and staff will schedule an inspection of the area and program for repair if the area meets the requirements.
For questions or concerns contact the Public Works Department at 847-515-5222. For more information regarding the Pedestrian Access Route Inspection and Repair Program please visit: https://www.huntley.il.us/departments/public_works_and_engineering/sidewalk_repair_and_50_50_program.php
